BOWLING OFFICIALS ¢+ Mr Peter Geddes, retiring president of Peterhead Bowling Club, opened the annual general meeting of the Club last week. After discussion of the business in hand, the following office-bearers were appointed:—Hon. President, Mr Alex. Davidson; President, Bailie T. J. Smith; Vice-President, Mr James Mitchell; Secretary, Mr Stanley S. Martin; Treasurer, Mr James Dunbar; Auditor, Mr Andrew Bruce; Green Convener, Mr James T. Dunbar; New Members of Council, Messrs D. Grant, G. Hunter, and R. Ballantyne.

PETERHEAD WIN LEASK-FINLAYSON Peterhead Bowling Club regained custody of the Leask-Finlayson trophy when they beat FKFraserburgh by 83 shots to 79 in the second leg at St. Mary Street green. As Peterhead had a lead of 20 shots from the first encounter at the Broch they had an overall winning aggregate of 24 shots. After the game the bowlers adjourned to the Palace Hotel when Treasurer T. J. Smith, president of the Peterhead Club, was presented with the handsome trophy by Mr Alex. Carlaw, vice-president of KFraserburgh. Details (Peterhead skips first) :—J. Dunbar 24, J. Rendall 15; J. STILL PLAYING In the final of Peterhecad St. Mary Street Bowling Club’s extra pairs competition T A. Dickson and I. Macßae beat W. Hutton and J. M. Robertson by 17 shots to 16. Mr James Mitchell, vice-president of Peterhead Bowling Club, and this year’s winner of the Singles Championship, completed the double on Friday night when he won the handicap singles which carries wth it the Greenbank Cup. He beat James S. Hope by 25 shots to 20 in the final.

The Leask — Finlayson Trophy Peterhead Bowling Club beat Fraserburgh, the holders, by 89 shots to 72 in the second leg of the Leask Finlayson trophy on the St. Mary Street green.
